MET workshop day in Milan

We are pleased to announce that registration for MET's workshop day in Milan on Friday 6 April is now open.

This year, we are delighted to offer two new three-hour workshops in the morning:

Corpus guidance: a tool for understanding professional language usage, change and variety with Mary Ellen Kerans
The discussion section in academic research articles: patterns, practices and insights for editors and translators with Oliver Shaw

The afternoon session will feature a MET medley of short talks:

The comma: to pause or to parse with Alan Lounds
False friends with Marije de Jager
Transcreation with Michael Farrell

Besides the formal programme, attendees are welcome to sign up for various optional social events, including drinks, meals and a walking tour of Milan.

We are grateful to our colleagues at the International University of Languages and Media (IULM) in Milan for kindly letting us use their facilities.
