MET workshop day in Barcelona, 15 September 201718-09-2017A full house turned out for MET's workshop day on Friday, 15 September 2017. Juliet Haydock flew in from Wales to lead a new workshop, "Beat the agencies at their own game: develop a watertight translation workflow process", in which she shared some tips to help freelancers reimagine their business and win major contracts. Juliet's workshop was followed by a pleasant networking lunch and an afternoon medley of talks by Anne Murray, Alan Lounds and Simon Berrill. Anne shared the results of her recent client mapping and profiling experiment. Alan took the perennial topic of false friends in the ES>EN language pair to a new level. And Simon put the "special" in specialization with his personal take on this timely topic.
