Qualifications and experience
I am a translator of Spanish to English with a strong scientific background including mathematical modelling, software programming and public health research.

Prior to studying translation, I received a PhD in Complexity Sciences from the University of Bristol. My thesis discussed a dynamic network-based model for the spread and evolution of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Two papers based on this work have been published in Theoretical Population Biology and PLOS Computational Biology. My academic career also included work on research projects related to cancer informatics, smart power grids and biodiversity in food webs, as well as studying mathematics and computer science to Masters level.
